The Southampton home jersey is inspired by the historic jersey that the team wore in the years between 1980-1985. With reversed colors and a dramatic stripe down the centre, this shirt has a modern twist. The modern twist is supposed to symbolize Southampton’s desire to stand out. Furthermore, it inspires fans to be brave, regardless of their background. On the chest both a hummel® logo and a club crest appear. The ECO8-technology has been used in the production, which means that the jersey is partly produced from up to eight recycled plastic bottles.
